Welcome to this auction for a one of a kind, incredible, exquisite Unicorn! I purchased him from a gallery in California where he was on display with fairies and gnomes. Unfortunately, I did not purchase his friends. He is an antique, sculpted out of a light weight material, my best guess is fiberglass.
His sculpting is outstanding with elaborate flowing lines that capture the musculature of this beautiful animal wonderfully. He has a soulful look to his face as if he were alive. This Unicorn is life size measuring approximately 75 inches from the ground to the tip of his horn and 65 inches from the tip of his ear to the ground. He is approx. 88 inches long from his tail to the tip of his horn. He is somewhat light weight, approx. 30-40 lbs. and stands on his rear legs with the tail providing stabilization.
He is done in white color paint with an iridescent glitter over the top that provides fabulous shading. A faux fur mane and tail (cotton candy like, whispy)complete his majestic look. Please note again, that this fabulous fellow is an antique. He is shabby chic, does have a few scuffs but these do add to his character. He wears a beaded accent around this waist as well as his chest which include rusty, shabby bells. This beading has been repaired, glued, but again this adds to his mystique. A metal white star also hangs down the middle of his forehead.
